Versace Unveils Vibrant SS26 Collection Under Dario Vitale

Versace debuted its highly anticipated Spring/Summer 2026 collection last Friday at Milan’s Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, transforming the venue into an intimate, residence-like setting. Under the creative direction of Dario Vitale, formerly of Miu Miu, the collection avoided heavy reliance on the brand’s iconic history, instead embracing fresh, contemporary energy. The runway featured street-style-inspired designs, including striped denim, patched leather, and brightly coloured prints, creating a collection that is both modern and uninhibited.

The colour palette showcased bold contrasts, dominated by black with intense reds and touches of gold. Accessories emphasized a playful juxtaposition: small, jewel-like bags paired with large belts, and high, slender sandals completing the looks. The presentation was accompanied by a personal, romantic letter from Vitale, adding an emotional narrative that highlighted the designer’s creative vision and storytelling.

Versace’s global brand ambassador, Korean rapper Hyunjin, attended the show, which also underscored the house’s new ownership by the Prada Group. Vitale’s SS26 collection combines elegance with audaciousness, inviting guests to embrace risk and individuality, as reflected in the designer’s exhortation to “wear something reckless, as if you were mocking propriety.”
