Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar Encourages Trust in the Judicial System

Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar made a compelling plea to the public on Monday, urging them to have faith in the country’s judicial system rather than resorting to street protests when faced with legal challenges. Speaking during a visit to Cotton University in Guwahati, Mr. Dhankhar emphasized the robustness of India’s judicial system and applauded its exceptional performance. He encouraged citizens to avail themselves of the legal avenues at their disposal, reminding them that the governance mechanism has been “sanitized” and that power brokers have been neutralized in the country.

The Vice-President also took the opportunity to commend the current administration for effectively combating corruption within the system. He stated, “I have seen times when it was thought that the law couldn’t reach certain individuals, with brokers and corruption running rampant. But those times are now over.” Mr. Dhankhar highlighted the transformation of the country’s power corridors and governance, emphasizing their current integrity. He asserted that common citizens and students stand to benefit the most from this improved scenario, calling upon the youth to actively participate in nation-building across all domains.

Furthermore, the Vice-President acknowledged that India’s global influence has been on the rise, which may not sit well with certain factions. He urged students to counter any forces working against the country’s interests, emphasizing the need to neutralize anti-India narratives. Mr. Dhankhar’s visit to Guwahati and his statements have sparked discussions regarding the importance of trust in the judicial system and the country’s ongoing efforts to combat corruption.
