Boito to Showcase Odisha’s Heritage Textiles at Xtant 2025 in First International Debut
Boito, a contemporary textile label rooted in Odisha’s rich craft traditions, is set to make its international debut at Xtant 2025, a prestigious global textile event. At the showcase, Boito will present an array of distinctive handloom textiles including Ringa, Kapdaganda, Kotpad, and Bandha, each known for its cultural significance and intricate craftsmanship.
Richa Maheshwari, founder of Boito, expressed her enthusiasm about the milestone, stating, “We’re incredibly honoured to be part of Xtant 2025. As our first international showing, it’s a heartfelt milestone. Xtant’s ethos of textiles as vessels of memory and meaning resonates deeply with our own.” She further added, “We’re excited to share the stories behind the Ringa, Kapdaganda, Kotpad, and Bandha, and to honour the communities who continue these ancestral practices with quiet strength and creativity.”
Established in 2023, Boito operates via a direct-to-customer e-commerce platform and has built meaningful collaborations with weaving communities across Odisha. Through its work, the label aims to preserve, promote, and reimagine traditional handloom practices for a contemporary audience while supporting the artisans who uphold these age-old techniques.
