Bollywood Actor Kartik Aaryan Denounces Fake Political Endorsement Video
In a recent turn of events, Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan has vehemently denied his involvement in a morphed video that falsely portrayed him endorsing the Congress party for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh elections. The doctored video had initially been shared by the OTT platform Disney+Hotstar during the ICC Men’s World Cup last month. However, it was later edited and dubbed to make it seem as if the actor was supporting the political party. Kartik Aaryan took to social media to clarify the situation and disavow any political affiliations.
The original video featured a billboard displaying Disney+Hotstar’s branding, but the manipulated version replaced it with Congress leader Kamal Nath and his election promises of two lakh government jobs and a ₹50,000 loan. The video further showcased promises for women, such as free bus services, ₹1,500 monthly assistance, and ₹500 LPG cylinders. The actor, who hails from Gwalior, was seemingly made to align with the campaign through a voiceover. A source close to Kartik Aaryan emphasized that the video was misleading and mischievous, emphasizing the actor’s complete absence of political affiliations.
Mr. Aaryan further addressed the situation on social media, sharing the authentic advertisement and stating, “This is the REAL AD @DisneyPlusHS. Rest all is Fake.” Meanwhile, the actor, last seen in ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha,’ is gearing up for his next project, ‘Chandu Champion,’ directed by Kabir Khan. Scheduled for release next year, the film sees Aaryan portraying a real-life hero who refuses to give up, evident from his character’s tough appearance in the first-look poster released in August. The news of the actor’s unwavering commitment to his roles shines a light on his dedication to his craft and his country.
