Mumbai Police Conducts Identification Parade for Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Accused

Mumbai Police conducted an identification parade on Wednesday at Arthur Road Jail for Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, the accused in the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case. Shehzad, who allegedly entered Khan’s residence with the intent to commit theft, was identified by witnesses present during the incident. The police have gathered strong evidence, including CCTV footage and a positive facial recognition test, linking Shehzad to the crime.
The attack on Saif Ali Khan occurred last month when an intruder, later identified as Shehzad, confronted the actor inside his home. During the violent altercation, Khan sustained stab wounds to his thoracic spine and other areas, requiring immediate hospitalization. The identification parade, conducted in the presence of a Tehsildar, included key witnesses such as staff nurse Ariyama Philip and aaya Junu, who were inside the residence during the attack.
Despite the mounting evidence against Shehzad, his advocate, Sandeep Shekhane, has denied the allegations, claiming that no proper investigation was conducted. He asserted that his client had been living in Mumbai for over seven years and dismissed claims that Shehzad entered India recently from Bangladesh. Meanwhile, the police continue their investigation, affirming that they have gathered ample physical, oral, and technical evidence against the accused.
