Nike Atelier Unveils Premium Collection for Rising French Star Désiré Doué

Nike Atelier, the premium fashion division of Nike, has unveiled an exclusive apparel and footwear collection for French football sensation Désiré Doué ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The 21-year-old Paris Saint-Germain forward becomes only the third athlete to receive a dedicated Nike Atelier wardrobe, following tennis stars Maria Sharapova and Jannik Sinner. Unlike previous capsule collections, pieces from the new line will be available for purchase from July through a select number of stores.

The “Nike Atelier Merc Premium” collection features an anthracite jacket with a shirt-style collar, fitted cuffs, and a bold Nike logo across the back, paired with pleated grey shorts. The collection’s standout item is the Mercurial x Pegasus Premium boot, which incorporates the upper design of the iconic 1998 Mercurial boot. A semi-transparent electric blue band adds a modern touch, reflecting Doué’s dynamic playing style and energy on the field.

The launch coincides with the 28th anniversary of France’s historic 1998 FIFA World Cup victory and pays tribute to both modern football and the sport’s influential eras of the 1990s and 2000s. Speaking about the collection, Doué highlighted the influence of French elegance and athletes known for their distinctive personal style, emphasizing the importance of individuality in fashion as well as sport.
