Ravindra Jadeja Joins BJP, Follows Wife Rivaba’s Political Path
Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja has officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), marking a significant step into politics. His wife, Rivaba Jadeja, a BJP MLA, shared the news on her social media account, posting pictures of the couple holding their BJP membership cards. Rivaba has been active in politics since 2019, representing the Jamnagar assembly constituency.
This announcement follows BJP National President JP Nadda’s nationwide membership drive, which kicked off on September 2 in Delhi with the renewal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s membership. Ravindra Jadeja’s political debut comes after he retires from T20 internationals in June 2024, following India’s historic T20 World Cup win against South Africa.
Rivaba Jadeja has already established her political career after defeating AAP candidate Karshanbhai Karmur in the 2022 Jamnagar assembly election. With Ravindra Jadeja’s entry into the BJP, the Jadeja family continues to deepen its involvement in Indian politics.
