Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Claims Recovery of ₹5500 Crore Temple Properties Under DMK Government

In a recent address, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin unveiled startling revelations about the recovery of temple properties, totaling a value of ₹5500 crore, under the governance of the DMK-led Dravidian model government. This announcement comes in response to Union Minister Nirmala Sitaraman’s allegations of temple properties being stolen and sold abroad.

Stalin highlighted the significant recovery of temple assets and urged those who genuinely held devotion to these religious sites to acknowledge the efforts of the DMK government in reclaiming these properties. He criticized what he labeled as the superficial nature of some individuals’ devotion, accusing them of engaging in deceitful acts aimed at manipulating public sentiment.

Furthermore, Stalin addressed a controversy involving a retired police officer’s alleged fabrication of his statement, clarifying that his remarks about not requiring the votes of Hindus were entirely false. Taking a firm stance against the spread of misinformation, the Chief Minister confirmed the initiation of legal proceedings against the individual responsible for circulating these misleading claims.

The Chief Minister also expressed concern over attempts to discredit and destabilize the Dravidian model government, urging the public to utilize the forthcoming elections as an opportunity to rebuke such efforts. Stalin’s impassioned appeal urged citizens to be discerning in their choices and take a stand against those aiming to tarnish the government’s credibility.
