Christina Hendricks Debuts Vintage-Inspired Fashion Collection with Joanie
American actress Christina Hendricks has launched her first-ever fashion line in collaboration with British brand Joanie, unveiling a 12-piece capsule collection of “heirloom dresses.” Drawing inspiration from her love of vintage clothing and Old Hollywood glamour, the Christina Hendricks x Joanie range features elegant prints, rich fabrics, and silhouettes designed “to celebrate curves.” Each dress is named after an aromatic flower used in perfume making, chosen by Hendricks to capture the emotions evoked by these fragrances.
Highlights from the collection include the ‘Vetiver,’ a tie-front midi dress inspired by a 1920s smoking jacket, the ‘Immortal Flower,’ a velvet and polka dot mesh maxi dress, and the ‘Neroli,’ a structured puff-sleeve velvet design available in deep green and a scarlet shade reminiscent of Hendricks’ Mad Men character Joan Holloway. The actress also sported the ‘Flowering Jasmine,’ a mythical beast print maxi dress, in recent interviews.
The collection reflects Joanie’s commitment to sustainability, with fabrics including recycled polyester velvet, responsibly sourced viscose chiffon, and rose jacquard made with Lenzing Ecovero fibres. Speaking about the collaboration, Hendricks described the project as a “dream come true,” adding that she hopes women feel “beautiful, interesting, and ultimately themselves” in the designs. Priced at £129, the dresses are available exclusively at joanieclothing.com in UK sizes 8 to 26.
