Puma Signs Global Fragrance Licensing Deal with Interparfums
Puma has signed a new global fragrance licensing agreement with Interparfums for the creation, development, production and distribution of fragrances under the German sportswear brand. The agreement will run through December 31, 2037, with the launch of Puma’s new signature lifestyle fragrance planned for 2027.
Interparfums Chairman and CEO Jean Madar said the partnership would build on Puma’s global presence across sports, fashion and popular culture. The company aims to translate Puma’s strong lifestyle appeal into a fragrance range that connects with consumers across markets, generations and style preferences. Interparfums’ existing fragrance portfolio includes brands such as Coach, Lacoste, Jimmy Choo, Montblanc and Kate Spade.
The licensing deal comes as Puma faces challenging trading conditions. In its latest financial update, the sportswear company reported a nearly 10% decline in second-quarter revenue to just under €1.7 billion. The decline was attributed to weakness in its wholesale business across the Americas and Europe. The planned fragrance launch represents a new opportunity to extend Puma’s brand presence into the global fragrance market.
