Tragic Accident in Delhi’s Rohini: One Killed, Another Injured as Speeding Bus Plows Through Vehicles

In a devastating incident that unfolded in Delhi’s Rohini, a speeding bus careened into multiple cars and scooters, resulting in the loss of one life and leaving another individual injured. This horrifying accident, which was captured on CCTV cameras in the area, occurred around 2:45 pm near Vishram Chowk in Awantika. In harrowing footage, the electric bus can be seen dragging a car, an e-rickshaw, and a bike it collided with before coming to a stop. Additionally, it crashed into several scooters parked near the pavement, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

Shocking eyewitness videos of the incident depict bystanders frantically running for cover as the bus plowed through cycles and scooters, leaving them in a state of disbelief. As the chaos ensued, concerned onlookers rushed to the accident site to check on those affected by the bus’s rampage. Regrettably, one person lost their life on the spot, while another sustained injuries. According to the police, it appears that the bus driver lost control of the vehicle. The authorities have promptly taken the driver into custody and initiated an investigation to determine the precise causes of this tragic accident.

This unfortunate incident comes just a month after a similar mishap in east Delhi, where a 36-year-old man lost his life when a DTC bus collided with two e-rickshaws and a fruit-cart puller. The driver had initially fled the scene but was subsequently apprehended by the police, shedding light on the urgency of addressing road safety concerns and enforcing stringent measures to prevent such accidents.
