Jonathan Andic Named Suspect in Mango Founder Isak Andic’s Death Investigation

Spanish authorities have formally named Jonathan Andic, son of Mango founder Isak Andic, as a suspect in the ongoing investigation into his father’s death. The fatal incident occurred on December 14, 2024, when the father and son were walking along a mountain trail in Montserrat near Barcelona. Initially treated as an accident by the Catalan police, the case was reopened in March 2025, and recent reports indicate that investigators now consider the possibility of homicide.

According to local media, inconsistencies in Jonathan Andic’s statements and analysis of his mobile phone prompted authorities to reclassify the case. His first statement, made shortly after his father’s death, was seen as understandable, while a later statement reportedly contained contradictions and gaps. Investigators have also taken into account testimony from Estefanía Knuth, Isak Andic’s partner, who mentioned ongoing tensions between father and son prior to the incident.

The Andic family has publicly expressed their support for Jonathan, stating they will continue to cooperate with authorities and respect the legal process. Following Isak Andic’s death, Jonathan had taken leadership roles in the family’s business empire, including Mango and Punta Na Holding. The family spokesperson emphasized confidence that Jonathan Andic’s innocence will ultimately be confirmed.
